Information stored by Dose
Dose stores the medicine names, reminder amounts and times, check-in history, and appearance preferences that you enter. This information is stored locally on your device.
On iOS, Dose copies today’s medicine names, amounts, times, and check-in status to its private App Group so the Dose Home Screen widget can display and update them. This App Group is shared only between the Dose app and its Dose widget extension on your device.
Information we collect
We do not collect or transmit your medicine information, check-ins, identifiers, usage activity, diagnostics, contact details, or location. Dose has no account system, backend service, analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party data sharing.
Dose does not access Apple Health, location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. Notification permission is optional and requested only when you save a medicine with a reminder.
Retention and deletion
Medicines remain on the device until you remove them. Check-in history is retained locally for up to 400 days.
You can permanently delete all medicines, reminder schedules, check-in history, pending notifications, and widget data at any time from Dose → Settings → Safety & privacy → Delete health data. Because this data is not sent to us, we cannot view, recover, or delete it remotely.
Widget and notification privacy
If you add the Dose widget, medicine details may be visible to anyone who can see your Home Screen. Remove the widget if you do not want this information displayed. Lock-screen notifications use generic wording and do not include medicine names or reminder amounts.
Children, changes, and contact
Dose is a general-purpose reminder tool and is not directed to children. We may update this policy if the app’s data practices change. The effective date above will identify the current version.
